Monday, October 17th

This morning, we continued on with our problem solving skills in rounding, adding, and subtracting numbers.  We will be having a quiz on Wednesday.  I added some practice in Math Prodigy and Dreambox.  Students should know how to access both sites now as I showed them on Friday.

In Language, students were working hard at partner reading while using their fix-up strategies.  They were given books about recycling, endangered animals and conservation.  They will then use their schema and write up a well-detailed paragraph.

Homework:
-reading log
-Math: practice sheet on estimating/subtraction.  Due Wednesday.

Reminders:
-Tomorrow is our Walkathon.  Please return any cash donations to the school tomorrow.
-Our class has selected to have a "cool kids" theme.  Therefore, students are encouraged to dress up in "cool" clothes and accessories.
