Homework:
-reading log
-Have quiz on time signed by a parent
-Math: complete practice sheet
-Practice Christmas song (see below)
-Practice spelling words (Spelling Survivor on Friday)

Reminders:
We are collecting the following items for various charities:  soap, non-perishable items, pyjamas, and gently used shoes.

Here is our Christmas song to practice:

Happy Christmas by John Lennon

Here are the words (lyrics):

So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very Merry Christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight

A very Merry Christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
A new one just begun
And so happy Christmas
We hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very Merry Christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over, if you want it
War is over now

We would like to thank our guest reader, Makenna's mom, who read to the class today!
